How Does Our Program Work?

Summer STEM Academies
Join us this summer at our Young Engineers Club,
where we engage kids in building, tinkering, and creating ... the underlying skills of understanding the world around us .... making sense of structures, electronics, bicycles, computers, and more!
During Young Engineers Club use items as basic as craft sticks and straws, to complicated electronics such as Makey Makey, and robotics such as Sphero. The goal is to develop students' problem solving skills through creating and collaborating with peers. Students are encouraged to think outside the box and come up with diverse solutions to real world problems. STEAM has never been so fun!

Campers will explore the world of gaming and coding through a mix of creative projects. Using beginner-friendly, block-based coding programs such as Scratch and Code.org, students will learn core coding concepts like sequencing, loops, and problem-solving while designing and building their own interactive games. Campers will also work with LEGO and Sphero robots, using code to complete game-style challenges and obstacle courses. Throughout the camp, students will have opportunities to connect and collaborate with peers who share interests in popular games and gaming communities such as Roblox, Minecraft, Among Us, and more. With time to create, experiment, and play, this camp is ideal for gamers curious about how game design and technology work together to create unique virtual experiences.
Junior Engineers Camp

Spark curiosity and engagement with our youngest engineers! At this age, children are naturally curious about the world around them and learn best by using their hands. Campers work collaboratively to design and build super-strong structures using a variety of materials, from everyday household items to the most beloved engineering tool of all, LEGOS!
Junior Engineers are introduced to basic engineer concepts through hands-on experiences with wiggle bots and sphero robots, allowing them to explore movement, cause and effect, and simple programming in an age-appropriate way. Throughout the camp, students develop foundational engineering skills while strengthening creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. With many exciting activities designed to inspire curiosity and confidence, Junior Engineers Summer Camp is the perfect place for young learners to build, explore, and discover.

Are you kids ready to be a Master?? Campers will explore engineering and STEM through hands-on building challenges that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. Using a variety of materials, students will design, test, and improve their ideas while learning how engineers think and work. Campers will also experiment with LEGO robotics and beginner block-based coding as they build and test their robots. The week wraps up with an exciting Sphero battle bot competition, where students design a shell and compete in the arena. This camp is perfect for curious students who love to build, tinker, and invent.
